The list is available for download on the website of the Austrian Animal Welfare Centre which is an institution of the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health Care and Consumer Protection supporting the National Contact Point for Animal Transport on the basis of Art. 11 para. 3 of the Austrian Animal Transport Act in conjunction with Art. 13 para. 4 Regulation (EC) 1/2005.
The list was compiled to the best of our knowledge on the basis of the data reported by the competent authorities on the approval of animal transport operators for long-distance journeys (“Type 2 approvals”) and the entries in TRACES. At the beginning of each month, the Austrian Animal Welfare Centre checks whether the entries are still up to date. The entry and cancellation of data is made on the basis of the relevant notifications from the authorities. There is no guarantee that the list is updated on a daily basis. It should also be noted that there may be deviations from the entries in TRACES with regard to spelling.
