Education: Diploma programme in agriculture with focus on animal production at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, dissertation at the Institute for Animal Production in the Tropics and Subtropics at the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart (D), bachelor programme in agricultural education at the University of Agricultural and Environmental Education, Vienna
Experience: In her more than 10 years of research work at the Institute for Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare at Vetmeduni Vienna and at the Institute for Animal Breeding Science at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn (D), she was particularly concerned with practice-oriented questions of poultry and pig husbandry. Her professional career also led her into the private sector for a few years. In her leisure time she collected many years of experience in horse husbandry.
After years working in the field of animal husbandry and welfare she completed another bachelor’s degree in agricultural pedagogy, which qualifies her for working as a teacher in the field of agricultural school education, as well as a consultant and adult educator in agricultural management.
In 2020, she completed the animal welfare module of the academic course “Tierärztliches Physikat” at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. With its completion she is a qualified animal welfare control body according to the Animal Welfare Control Regulation.
As a court-certified expert, she is available to the court with her expertise in the following specialist areas: 33.06 Pigs Only for: Husbandry, 33.08 Horses Only for: Husbandry, 33.09 Poultry Only for: Husbandry, 33.75 Animal Husbandry, 33.80 Animal Welfare.
Since February 2018 she has been working as a research assistant in the Austrian Animal Welfare Centre.
